SIPAC and AllBright Strengthen Collaboration to Enhance China’s Outbound Legal Capabilities
Shanghai, October 25, 2025 — SIPAC Chairman Robert Lewis was honored to be invited to participate in AllBright Law Offices’internal meeting of more than 60 partners from the firm’s Cross-Border Legal Services Group. The meeting, held at AllBright’s Shanghai headquarters, brought together partners from most of the firm’s offices, with additional partners joining online from major cities across China.
During the session, Mr. Lewis delivered a presentation on “China Outbound Lead Counsel: Challenges and Best Practices.” He also had the opportunity to learn from case study presentations made by various AllBright partners on recent outbound investment projects. These case studies highlighted the perspective of Chinese lead counsel on how to effectively manage cross-firm collaboration with local counsel in different jurisdictions around the world.
In his remarks, Mr. Lewis introduced the Sino International Professional Advisory Council (SIPAC) and underscored the shared objective between SIPAC and Chinese counsel to reduce process friction in cross-border collaboration. He emphasized SIPAC’s ongoing initiatives to enhance response times, improve engagement with Chinese counsel at an early stage, and jointly develop best practices on work allocation and fee structures—fostering true win-win cooperation between Chinese and foreign law firms.
As part of this collaboration, SIPAC and AllBright established the first dedicated WeChat group between a leading Chinese law firm and SIPAC’s global network. This initiative aims to facilitate closer working relationships between AllBright partners and SIPAC member firms worldwide, improving coordination, responsiveness, and knowledge sharing in a private and professional setting. The group will also serve as a platform for exchanging insights and building mutual trust to better serve Chinese clients in outbound legal matters.
